Train Simulator 2015: Amtrak Acela Express on Northeast Corridor Driving the Amtrak Acela Express from Trenton to Philadelphia on the Northeast Corridor. The route covers the busy east coast from the United States and connects Washington with Boston, passing by Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York on the way. The route is created by Dovetail Games.

With the P42DC finally re-released on the Steam Store , I decided to play around with the locomotive's capabilities. To be quite frank, after a modification to make the traction characteristics more realistic, I was quite impressed. Managed to balance out at 70 mph on level track with a the heaviest and longest train consist Amtrak operates; the Auto Train.

2 P42DCs + 16 Superliners + 28 Auto Racks. Since there are no Amtrak Auto Racks yet, I subbed in UP racks for the time being.

She still stalled going up a 1.5 percent grade, so I suppose tacking on a 3rd engine for increased grade performance would be good.
