This is a follow up of a previous thread (see XP driver, WDF, inf file and Coinstallers) where I can not install a driver. Trying to debug why my driver (based on portio) will not install (all the details are in the previous thread I mentioned). Trying to get to the lowest common denominator I went back and built the portio example. It will install on my development laptop but not another XP based laptop - using the exact same install package. So now I'm assuming I have something previously loaded on my development PC that's making the insatll work but as far as I can tell it's close to the 'failure' pc.

Both have XP SP3, WDK,.NET 3.5, and anything else I checked that may have been relevant. Any debugging ideas?
