Hey i was wondering if the manufacture date is different than the model year of the bike. I would like to put a power commander on my 2001 gsxr 750 but from their website they say if the bike is a 2001 made after June then I need to buy the 2002 version of the power commander. If the bike is a 2001 but manufactured before June then i need to buy the 2001 version of the power commander. So although i know my bike is from 2001 and the says its a 2001 one i am unsure of how to find the manufacture day. Vin JS1GR7HAX12104358 is there any way you can help? LA41A-113925 i have this frame number stamped on it ive also looked if there where more digits but there are none.
So far i know JS1 = WIM / Japan Suzuki 1 and LA41A = VDS? P.s JS1 issent on the frame i only have LA41A-113925 stamped on it. Ive bought this frame because the original frame i have of my RB50 has its vin number removed in its history =/ i bought that bike from a collector and it has been eating dust for 9 years in his attict he had it to collect but it probaly got stolen before he got it into his collection and i dont know how long that was ago.
Im probaly the last chance for this bike to see the road legaly again and have it documented with a liscence plate atleast im trying to get it back to how it was 30 years ago. And im restorating a RB50 to its original state i have the little racing thema one.
Any news on this bike would make me happy im also looking around myself i would like to know how old it is officialy and if te L on the frame means something special. Its a suzuki RB50 frame and im wondering which year it might be i did find this artical on ozebook.com but on here is a RB50H model JS1JA41AH2100001 and prefix A403 i do have this engine in the frame i cant use theres also ather option for me and thats restamping that frame but i probaly would ran into issues with the official RDW here i live in the NL so thats why i rather use LA41A-113925 frame RB50 suzuki if you could find some more information for me please i wane know.
